Statoil's LNG (liquiefied natural gas) plant at the island "Melkoya" near the city of Hammerfest, in northern Norway. ABB has delivered a complete range of power and automation products and systems to the gas processing plant that became operational in 2007. Gas from the "Snohvit" (Snow white) gas field is recovered through subsea templates, transported in pipelines to the plant, where the gas is cooled down until it becomes liquefied and ready for transport by ship.

Safeguard

Safeguard wurde von ABB vor rund 30 Jahren entwickelt und war das allererste integrierte Safety-System.

Es wird in über 500 Offshore-Anwendungen weltweit eingesetzt. Safeguard ist gemäß IEC 51508 für SIL3 zertifiziert. Es kann als separates Safety-System installiert oder in unser Leitsystem System 800xA integriert werden.
